Last minute post on a Sweet Giveaway!

Γεια σας!! Τι κάνετε; Μου λείψατε!

ήθελα εδώ και λίγο καιρό, να γράψω ένα post για τη φωτογράφιση που κάναμε με την Ειρήνη από το Sweetcase, αλλά όλο δεν προλαβαίνω (όπως και γενικά να ασχοληθώ με το blog- το ξέρω χρωστάω εξηγήσεις...guilty). Η αλήθεια είναι ότι ούτε τώρα θα γράψω για τη φωτογράφιση. Whaaaat? Και όμως.

Κάνω μια γρήγορη ανάρτηση, για τον διαγωνισμό που τρέχει η Ειρήνη για μια φοβερή Sweetcase τσάντα, και δεν θα ήθελα να το χάσετε. Πηγαίνετε λοιπόν εδώ (click) και πάρτε μέρος σήμερα, γιατί ο διαγωνισμός λήγει αύριο!! (Μπράβο Μαριέττα, ευχαριστούμε, νωρίς το θυμήθηκες).

Και υπόσχομαι ότι αύριο μεθαύριο θα σας δείξω και τις φωτογραφίες που τραβήξαμε ^_^ ααα και αν δεν το καταλάβατε, δεν ήμουν η φωτογράφος αυτή τη φορά, αλλά το μοντέλο!

Kalipso

The super cute and creative, childhood friend of ours, Kalipso, did an amazing photo shoot with one of our bow necklaces,,, go check the whole post here.

She has a photo diary blog called "a be ba blog", where she posts about stuff she does, and stuff she finds that match her style! (I am loving the name of the blog). You can also check, here, a post Kalipso did when she received our package. Did I mention she lives in Patra!?

Packaging and more

Here is some of the packaging we have done in the last year:

Our logo is usually handwritten on our little bags, and we have made some special packaging as well, depending on the occasion (1,2,3). Below you can see the packaging of our Fringe Earrings series, that is -oh my!- reused Film canisters!!

Photo Review: KiP in Athens 2012

we love picnics, we do!
For the second year in a row we organised a picnic to celebrate the Knitting/Crocheting in Public Day (KiP Day) in Athens. We did it last year, and we wouldn't miss this year's!

 The place was the same, the Park of Freedom (near the Music House in Athens), same time, too, but almost different people! We had some regulars and some guest stars!

 Eleni, a member of our crochet team from last years, Artemis, a fellow crocheter and knitter, Dimi, also a member of our crochet club, Fotini, Eleana and Vicky who don't crochet but we love them equally, Panagiotis and Orestis (our brother and his amazing friend who both learned how to knit at last year's Kip) and finally unexpectedly Tasos arrived to surprise me and complete our company at this Kip!

We mostly crocheted, except Panagiotis who started knitting a cowl, Orestis, Fotini and Vicky learned how to make a chain, (basic crochet stitch). Artemis started a crocheted blouse with the bestest sand colored yarn, I was making some bows for our shop, Dimi was crocheting a gift and Panagiota was interrupting her work by blowing bubbles in the wind!

and we had some really good time! Vicky brought me the most amazing gift ever,  some purple alpaca yarn from Switzerland!! I was smitten! look at this amazing shade....
Still in search of a magnificent project for this yarn!

with a small delay, these are finally the photos that document what happened on the 16th of June 2012, to celebrate the international Knitting and Crocheting in Public day, by the Double Crochets!

A Crochet Gift

Today we are sharing the story of a personal request gift! Dimitris, a friend and colleague of mine at school didn't have the chance to be at our bazaar (at Past Tense), so he made a custom order, afterwards. He wanted a special gift for his girlfriend! And it was his request the gift to be a pair of red crocheted heart earrings. Double Crochets to the rescue! 

I made them with extra care and of course love, and here they are, a lovely pair for Eirini! 

Marietta was extra inventive with a special love packaging. We added small little paper hearts and letters spelling love! You could call it "late Valentine's", or "really early one"! What do you think? I always love a romantic gift idea, how are you when it comes to "the matters of the heart" crafts?
